I was reading throught the scenarios and stumbled accross this...
Now, I don't want to be a bitch or anything... but What the hell?
I mean, the legions are good... but 500 dead/wounded Visigoths against 26 romans? (549 to be exact)
Which means that for every dead/wounded Roman there were 21 dead/wounded enemy. Not even Yoda would accomplish that (Okay, maybe he would, but hey.. he's got the force and a lightsaber. The legions got neither)
It might just be me but is this rebellion thingy is getting a little* unrealistic.
Apart from that... Why is every Roman NPC going along with a rebellion led by 17 year old boys?
Just my two cents.

It appears that you misread the scenario then because it never mentioned Romans fighting Visigoths besides when they opened the gates. In fact 17 Romans fell to 20 or so Visigoths, surely these aren't the odds you speak of? If you were really reading the scenario it mentioned that the town's guardforce was rounding up the Visigoth loyalists, and since they have much more numbers they are killing many more (still only 2-1 death ratio).
As for the boys leading the armies...It's a handful of officers who've led their forces rogue. There are plenty of NPC officers who are following and leading but it's impossible to tell you every detail. Also...what about Octavian's army when he was but 18? Is there something major that happens in that one year? Make sense now?

How big is the roman rebellion force now? 100 men? 100 soldiers don't blend with the territory or go stealth.
Not gonna happen.

Are you reading the scenarios are just posting random thoughts? It was described that there was recruitment done in Marsi which was primarily still loyal to Rome, hence the willingness to enlist and the willingness to fight.
As was mentioned before, the cohort was 500 men and after recruitment was over 700 men, about 250 of those, greens.

I agree. I was a little displeased with how quickly it was ended, particularly ghost legions that nobody has any responsiblity for. I would urge the Romae to consider a requirement that one submit scenarios only when one's character is involved in the action.

Yeah got to love them ghost legions lmao. I was trying to get the preators together in case we couldn't stop Baleric and if he came to the palace kill him there.

But you have to love the GHOST legions! I mean, but seriously, I was getting mad amounts of IM's whining about how bad this barbarian setup was, and couldn't take it. If you guys now wanna work it out I can take back the scenarios and they could have been just a dream.

Well, having spoken to you about the Barbarian set up, I thought it was a viable way for us to stay within the 150s a time frame I think people prefer working with (professional legions, provinces etc) but to deal with a number of the OOC issues we have (lost history, reduce families, etc). but cats are difficult to put back into bags. so i lets muddle on.

Those ghost legions made it much more realistic. Good work For real, 20-25 young commanders each commanding 50-100 men against the Visigoth army was pretty unfair...

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you. Although this is a game, I don't beleive in things that aren't there. In example ghosts, God, or Oprah. Mixing things that are or aren't real is a bad thing. Besides that scenario where Baleric was killed was slightly on the humurous side . If his guard was about to be slaughtered he would have fled not sit and wait for Tulipus and his pansy flower legions to attack and kill him faster than weedkiller. Overall I thought the whole thing funny, but still well written.

Wait... I thought the Ghost legions were actual Roman legions that had ran away and 'dissappeared'. Did i misunderstand something?
