Please feel free to post anything you recall about past events in TRE history to help out the newcomers and refresh the minds of the older players. Please try to keep from fighting though

Post by Cladius Trudilus (7-167BC) on Jun 27, 2006 0:09:11 GMT -5
Servilius Trudilus defeated the Carthie navy where he lost his eye. This battle proved to be decisive in the war with carthage and henceforth bought about the end of the war. Along with Nicolus Cornelius (later Servilius) conquered the Baleric Islands. Held every position in Rome, including dictator, where he was betrayed (ooc: btw I never found out who that was!) and was left for dead out to sea. He formed a pirate fleet which he used to help in the battles of Rome against the Eygptians. Died while protecting his daughters from bandits. Was celebrated in the Temple of Heroes built by Flavius Cladius. Widely accepted as the best naval commander in the world at his time and that had ever been. He was also the yougnest commander of the Navy at the age of 19

Cladius Flavius was son of Cladius Arcadius. Both were Admirals, Flavius was a friend of Trudilus's and helped in several wars as commander of a squadron (the 1st squadron I believe). Later Flavius became a Senator and worked on several projects including the aformentioned Temple of Heroes devoted to Rome's past legends such as the deceased Trudilus.

Servilius Severus was a descendant of both Servilius Lucius's, (grandfather and grandson) and was the youngest Senator to ever become Consul (22 I believe), and served two terms. He was behind the asassination of a prominent senator who had rivaled him and his kin in the past and was later murdered, himself, for that plot.

Julius Cassius Scipio was Commander of the Republican Guard for more than 2 decades. Re-organized the Guard into an effective fighting force. Guard forces, with assistance from the assassin teams known as the Kestrels put down the civil war led by the traitor Servilius Lollia (sp?) Built the scipio fortress known as Respublica in Sicilia. Was the first Questor Diplomaticus, and in that position prevented the unification of Gaul under a single king, securing Rome's northern border. Was forced out of his position as Commander of the Guard under the Cornelii dictatorship, but brought back to restore order in Rome. Died of illness.
